Participation Requirements

Papers must be original work written by currently enrolled undergraduate students at UCR, who are involved in faculty mentored research, scholarship and creative activity.

All papers must be approved by the student's faculty mentor(s) before submission.

If appropriate, research must have approval from institutional oversight boards or committees.

Papers must conform to the requirements presented in Paper Guidelines.

Submission of papers must follow the Paper Submission Process.

The UCR Undergraduate Research Journal (UGRJ) is considered an internal journal and will not be widely circulated beyond the campus.  The submission of a paper to the UGRJ does not exclude the possibility of submitting similar work to an external journal, unless the external journal's submission or publication restrictions prohibit it.  The UGRJ will allow students to submit similar papers to those submitted to external journals (i.e. subset of work, project summary with unrefined data).
